The staff at Whiterails Livery Yard are friendly and helpful and are here to ensure your experience with us is one to remember.
Rebecca Burton Yard Manager
Rebecca grew up around horses and following several years working both voluntarily and professionally at World Horse Welfare, she decided to continue working alongside the Horse. Qualifying at International Level II (Riding Instructor) with the Portuguese cavalry, she was subsequently fortunate enough to work with distinguished riders, acclaimed Lusitano studs and an award-winning tourism destination. Her diverse experience with horses and people have provided her with a sense of self-discipline, strength of character, and unique insight. Managing a premium quality livery yard is extremely satisfying for Rebecca, and she looks forward to growing the scope and services at Whiterails for both management and clients.
Lauren Baldry Assistant Yard Manager
Lauren has worked at Whiterails Livery since she left school seven years ago. During this time, as well as mucking out and managing various aspects of the livery, she has studied for and attained her NVQ Level 3 certification. Ellen joined the Whiterails team at the end of 2013. She previously worked as a member of the yard staff at Redwings, and has thus acquired experience in horse care. Ellen has a pony which she show-jumps regularly.
We hope that you and your horse will enjoy spending time with us. Our management and staff are here to ensure that you do.
Whiterails Farm has been run by the Richardson family for over fifty years as tenants of the Evans Lombe estate. Rob Richardson, Farm Manager and proprietor, oversees the livery. He rides occasionally but his main hobby is driving. He has a selection of carriages and he and his gelding, Vincent, can often be seen around the lanes using one of the vehicles.
The Richardsons are countryside conservation enthusiasts. They were, in fact, among the first members of LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) set up in 1991 to promote the link between conserving the countryside and the production of safe healthy food.
The Whiterails Livery yard is rated as an NVQ Level 3 training and assessment centre and our students gain on the job experience in a busy, professional environment.
